labour of love

made pancakes this morning!

last night i was like, super determined to wake up super early in the morning to make pancakes, but ended up waking up at 10am :P but i was seriously craving for pancakes and i really really wanted to try it out!

TADAH!!

lol these are the prettier ones..the shape of the pancakes wasn't very nice and round coz my pan was relatively huge, not like those little round pans for frying eggs.

the process wasn't that smooth sailing at the beginning, coz i was a bit too ambitious and poured a lot of batter onto the pan, hence it was very ugly at the beginning, like this :
hahahahaha very huge and ugly right! like 蛋饼 already!

and after that i realized that i actually don't have to pour that much mixture, like quarter ladle of mixture will do..and then just allow the pancake mixture to expand on its own!

when the side facing the top starts to perforate then it's time to flip it :) when you flip it at the right timing you'll realize the pancake won't stick to the pan at all!

the recipe was really really really simple:

1 cup of self raising flour

1 cup of milk

1 large egg

p/s: marian says it will taste even nicer (and sweeter!) if u mash a banana into the batter! i'm going to try it next time!
